Fifth meeting of the Regional Economic Forum for SouthEast Europe-REF SEE 2008, was held on 20th. and 21st. November.2008. in Metropol hotel in Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia, under the auspices of H.E. Branko Crvenkovski, President of the Republic of Macedonia .Besides him, Forum was attended by:

H.E.Nebojsa Radmanovic, Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Chairman,
H.E.Filip Vujanovic, President of Republic of Montenegro,
H.E.Stjepan Mesic President of Republic of Croatia,
H.E.Boris Tadic, President of Republic of Serbia and
H.E.Georgi Parvanov, President of Republic of Bulgaria

Working title of REF SEE 2008. was "Competitors and Partners on the Way to European Union". Within Forum, there was held 3 separate sessions: Influence of the Credit Crisis on Finance and Economy of the SEE Countries, Infrastructure in the Region (Construction, Road and Telecommunications), Energy and Energy Markets of the SEE Countries. Besides this, further to prior years practice, was presented to the participants Report on the competitiveness of the countries and the region of SEE .
